I Am Here, Where Are You?
About
A world-wide walking project.
Pairing audiences / participants with artists in the political hotspots of the world, the artist gives a guided tour through UK cities via a mobile phone – but to the sights and sounds of his own. The artist in Iraq tells his audience to turn left and see the sight of a bomb-damaged school. The walkers in Manchester all turn left and see a billboard promising a better life, while the audience in Birmingham see a run down amusement arcade.
An exploration of global mapping, and of international stories.
