The Heart Render
About
Mayhew and a team of collaborators take a thousand body casts, while interviewing participants and recording their stories. The casts of individual body parts are then suspended, lit, creating an installation – a sea of disconnected limbs. An audience is invited to enter the space and identify their own body part, and hear the collected stories being performed back to them.
Status
Throughout early 2007, Mayhew is beginning to take body casts as initial research and development work on the project.
